The Camerawalls performs this April in five cities in the Visayas – one city for every year that the band has been making music.
Dubbed “Pamagdoy” (a word that means “wandering” or “peregrination” in both Cebuano and Ilongo), the tour is produced and presented by Lilystars Records in partnership with Panay News, the largest newspaper in the Visayas.

“This is a first for The Camerawalls to embark on a proper tour, so it can reach more listeners and meet more music aficionados,” said Clementine, frontman of The Camerawalls, and concurrent label manager of Lilystars Records.
The Camerawalls, being based in Bulacan, is a fixture in the Manila indie scene and has regular invitations to music festivals in the region – however, it is rare for the band to hold gigs in other parts of the country, the latest being Baguio City last March.
“Pamagdoy” is an opportunity to familiarize the Visayan market with The Camerawalls’ indie pop releases, Clementine noted, as their music may be available at their Web site thecamerawalls.com, but the live shows had mostly been up north.
On the side is the desire for a little travel and cultural experience – the food, practices, scenic spots, and the people – with each city transfer, and for the band to create a tour diary of the experience, admitted Clementine.
Aside from their original song releases, The Camerawalls will be performing select tunes written and recorded by Clementine for Orange & Lemons, plus cover songs from bands and artists (e.g. The Smiths, The Beatles, John Lennon) they admire, in the “reinventionist” style the band is known for.
