The Midnight Greetings is a solo project based in Cebu City, Philippines of singer-songwriter Kyle Maraton. He writes and produces his own music in the comforts of his own home studio with a music style that is a combination of indie pop and psychedelic rock music. His sounds has that Gen Z appeal with his chill vibe and lo-fi aesthetic.
His debut single, ‘Youth’, was released on October 23, 2020 and now has over 27,000 plays on Spotify. The song evokes a very familiar feeling of loneliness and emptiness common among today’s generations all of which stems from the pent up emotions of the songwriter. While lyrically it tackles mental health issues, musically, it has that lax feel to it, the the kind that you would listen to during a late night drive around town or while hanging out on a roof top on a chill night under the stars.
