A Night of Intimate Music: The Pop Shoppe Acoustic Night
Six indie acts reworked their originals and beloved covers into intimate, stripped-back performances at the first ever Lilystars Records Pop Shoppe Acoustic Night last August 8, 2025, at Unknown13 Bar Katipunan. The night was headlined by OPM icons Orange & Lemons, joined by label mainstays Paper Satellites, Parasouls, Galaxy Lodge, and fresh additions Morphelle and Dino Pascual.
Morphelle opened the night with light, candid performances, threading Clairo and Laufey covers into her acoustic-rooted style. Paper Satellites, joined by BABYBLUE, reimagined tracks from Manila Meltdown and Onodera EPs, proving their adaptability and confidence across genres.
Galaxy Lodge surprised by trading shoegaze walls for airy textures, exposing subtler layers without losing their signature sound. Parasouls stripped their bright pop down to sincerity, filling the room with effortless warmth. Dino Pascual followed with his polished candor, his all-original set carrying an intimacy that instantly won over the crowd.
Orange & Lemons closed the night with laid-back performances of not only crowd favorites but also deep cuts, revealing the architecture of their songwriting in its most intimate form – a fitting finale for an evening devoted to music at its barest and most honest.
