Our Roster At The Musicfest

Lilystars’ artists found its way onstage at the 5th Jam Musicfest held May 15, at the Eastwood Central Plaza along with a formidable number of independent musicians. Is this an indication of changing times and trends?

Below is the poster for the event and one will be surprised to discover the fact that the line-up consists of 50% or more unsigned or independent bands and was headlined by Singapore’s well known indie/alternative group Electrico.

Whatever prompted the people behind Jam 88.3 to produce such is commendable. Giving a chance for commercial exposure to independent musicians is a mighty step towards recognition of talent. A left of center approach for our struggling music industry hungry for good music.
